Kimye inspired destination wedding at The Acre, Orlando

This was a wedding I couldn't wait to photograph and had been looking forward too. Reema and Jonathan's wedding was intimate, beautiful, and organic from the style to the emotions felt that day. This Indian-fusion wedding brought together Jonathan's German heritage with Reema's Indian culture. They chose The Acre in Orlando for their destination wedding, coming down from their home in Washington D.C. for the festivities!

The day started off with morning cupcakes, Super Smash Brothers and Kanye coloring books. If you couldn't tell from the headline, Reema is a huge Kardashian/Kanye fan. In her "details" she even wanted us to photograph her KKW Contour Kit that was a gift from her friends! And of course, we had to finish off the night with iconic Kimye wedding jackets - hand-painted by Reema. You'll notice Reema is the 'Kanye' of the shot - and that's not by accident!

Reema had a gorgeous sari for her wedding ceremony and then an adorable 1920's inspired white cocktail dress for her reception. With her hands covered in henna and excitement for the day to start, Reema was radiant and beaming with joy. Jonathan also had traditional Indian wear for the ceremony and changed to classic slacks and white button down to enjoy cocktails hour and dancing. With wedding vows that had everyone in tears (including myself) and amazing friends and family that traveled far and near to celebrate their dear friends.

We got hit with a bit of a Florida rain shower, but thankfully it cleared up enough for us to enjoy some post-ceremony photos and amazing Indian cuisine for dinner! The night ended with a celebratory dance party and toasts under the stars.

To say that we were obsessed with this couple and their wedding would be a complete understatement. Letting us have creative and artistic direction in their day made for a fantastic final gallery that we can't wait to show off! So here are about 90+ of our favorite images! Thank you so much to Reema and Jonathan for having us and we can't wait to send out your final images!

Trisha and Chris Downtown Orlando Engagement

I first met Trisha at Solutions Bridal where she works as their social media/behind the scenes guru with a fabulous group of ladies we get to work with. We were wanting to plan more shoots for Eleanor and Pete and work with more awesome couples and we love the style that Trisha and her fiance Chris had. We met up at a very cool Mexican restaurant in downtown Orlando where they were kind enough to let us shoot around their beautiful space. Trisha and Chris love trying out new restaurants around Orlando, their friends always ask them for a good recommendation so we thought it would be super fun to shoot them doing just that. We ate tacos for lunch and shot a little bit around the restaurant and then walked around the streets of downtown Orlando for some cool shots. These two are getting married in the Dominican Republic with their closest friends and family at the end of the year and we couldn't be more excited for them!! Congratulations Trisha and Chris!!

Reema and Jonathan Engagement in D.C.

Kristen and I had the pleasure of meeting up with Reema and Jonathan in Washington D.C. to shoot their engagement session in April!!

Reema, a super talented lifestyle + food + travel photographer used to work for Kristen while she was going to school here in Florida. She met Jonathan as a student at UCF during that time, too! Double win. We were already going to be in New York for Bridal Week in April so we could just take a train over to Washington D.C. (Kristen's first train ride in the US!) for a visit and shoot their engagement session. Then, BOOM: magic happened! Awesome couple, in their awesome apartment and we can't forget about Mooch!! (their adorable fur child) who, lets face it, stole the show ;) We walked around DC shooting against the prettiest backgrounds and we lucked out with perfect lighting. When their session concluded we were introduced to the best pasta joint (so good that you didn't want to have leftovers), the Red Hen!

Since Kristen and Anthony will be guests at their wedding, I'll be photographing their Indian-Western fusion wedding day! I'm secretly hoping they find a way to smuggle Mooch back for it, too!
