Sydonie Mansion Wedding with vintage elegance

The historic Sydonie Mansion was the perfect backdrop for Alison and Miles to get married. Surrounded by friends and family, the shared their own written vows and danced under the stars.

Alison and Miles met back in high school 14 years ago in chemistry class. They recently lived in Gainesville while Miles finished his PhD is Organic Chemistry and Alison was a teacher. They have since moved back to their hometown of Fort Myers with their 2 furbabies!

We love that Alison and Miles ditched the traditional idea of a wedding party and mixed guys and girls on both sides. We love this concept because you should always have your friends by your side on your wedding day - no matter their gender! Alison’s side had her 2 best friends and her cousin. Miles chose his brother, sister and his best friend to stand with him.

One thing we learned about Alison - she is always thirsty! And Miles has assumed the role of husband by vowing to always keep her hydrated (yes, like, it was actually in his vows). Throughout the night he was bringing her glasses of water and we can’t think of a sweeter thing for a new groom to do for his bride!

The future is so bright for these newlyweds! They’re saving up for their European honeymoon they hope to take next year, while they plan their next adventure wherever fate takes them!

Melbourne in-home and beach session with cats!

We met Courtney and Khoury completely by chance, but it has since turned in to a beautiful friendship! Courtney was the Maid of Honor in one of Kristen's past weddings, and responded to a casting call for a couple to model for a styled shoot we were hosting. After connecting on Facebook, Courtney was browsing through Kristen's albums - where she had shared some rescue kittens we were fostering in the studio. Smitten, Courtney convinced Khoury to adopt 2 - our special little Spock, and his brother Lando (at the time named Saltine and Wheat Thin - not our choice!)

Courtney and Khoury don't have many photo shoots together, so they had us come out to their beautiful home in Melbourne to photograph them with their new furbabies! They had a rescue dog named Mako, who has taken to his little brothers perfectly! This little family lives about a block from the beach and loves ocean-living. Their home is so adorable - decorated with vintage whimsy, unique art pieces and a comfortable, coastal vibe.
